Pizza

So I will start with the most basic and tasty recipe: Pizza!

300 gr Flour
1 Pinch of salt
1 Sachet of dried yeast (You can find this in Tesco)
1 Can of tomato sauce (Tomato Napoli from Lidl is perfect)
300 gr Grated Mozzarella (The bag sold in Aldi is perfect)

Mix in a bowl the flour, the salt and the yeast. Gradually add water while mixing.
I use this method because I usually ended up with too much water or too much flour: in this way you can see exactly when the mixture has the desired consistency.
Mix with your hands and knead until you have a smooth dough, sprinkle it with flour and put it back in the bowl; cover it up with a damp dish towel and let it raise for about 4/5 hours (I usually prepare it in the morning to use it in the evening).

Pre-heat the oven to 200-220 degrees.
Take a square flat oven tin and sprinkle it with flour; take the dough and start spreading it over the tin with your fingers.
Use a rolling pin to spread it evenly or even better roll it with the tomato can.
Add enough flour in the tin so that the pizza will not stick to it and, for an even crispier base, sprinkle it with semolina.
Now start spreading the tomato sauce over the base with the bottom of a spoon (half of the can should be enough).
Add the grated mozzarella : if you prefer to use fresh mozzarella , cut it in slices 30 minutes before so that all the water gets drained.
You can virtually now add any topping but please don’t “rape” it with ingredients like pineapple or steak! In my example I added gorgonzola in one half and tuna with onions on the other.
Put the pizza in the oven for about 10-15 minutes…..Buon Appetito!!
