Vegetarian Quiche

Today's post is dedicated to the quiche. This recipe really depend on your taste since you can virtually fill the quiche with anything!
Here is what I used:

3 Big onions
5 Tesco Vegetarian sausages
1 Mozzarella
1 Pack of feta cheese
1 Pack of ricotta
150 ml of fresh cream
1 Vegetable stock cube
2 Puff pastry sheet

Finely chop the onions and fry them in a pan with a bit of oil.
Add the sausages chopped in chunks, the stock cube and cook everything until golden brown.
When ready take the pan away from the hob and add the ricotta and the fresh cream: you should get a nice and creamy mixture.
Finally add the mozzarella and feta chopped in cubes.

Add the first puff pastry sheet as a base of a round tin making sure that it follow the shape of it, add the mixture and cover it with the second pastry sheet rounding the corners to close it.

Put in the oven at 200 for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
This can be eaten cold or warm.

P.S. I tried an experiment (as seen in the pictures) using filo pastry instead of puff pastry: I still prefer the original method since with the filo pastry it's too crunchy

Ok I know my rig is not the latest and the most powerful but I'm happy with it and quite proud of the fact that I built it myself and I purchased everything with my hard-earned money.
I've been upgrading the components for the past 4 years,I reached this configuration and I decided to stop for a while because if you follow the market and the latest technology you'll end up always having something obsolete.

- Included programming font Consolas (recommended size 10 with ClearType enabled).

5. How to generate Green Edition.
------------------------------------
5.1.
Install Delphi 7 lite use Setup-Edition,the proposed installation of full install.If you want to restore instlled componets register,you need to install Third-Party Expert CnWizards.

5.2 Run start menu Delphi lite ->CnWizards->IDE Config Backup->Restore Tool,backup IDE settings to a file.

5.3 copy the entire delphi directory to new folder i.e D:\XXX.

5.4 run D7LiteReg***.exe under folder of you i.e D:\XXX,after run will be create the menu for delphi,you can run the delphi lite now. D7LiteReg***.exe only list Setup-Edition installed components automatic.

5.5 Run start menu Delphi lite ->CnWizards->IDE Config Backup->Restore Tool,restore IDE settings from you saved file.

OK,An Delphi development available now,reset IDE Environment Options or reinstall BPL unnecessary,Just as well as previously installed.If you want to restore installed BPL components register,remembr to checked Third-Party Expert CnWizards. Before step 5.5,remembr to run delphi onece time first.

6. RESTRICTIONS AND WARNING.

WARNING:
Do not re-patch any of third-party BPL file after installed, otherwise it might raise unexpected errors.

WARNING:
On the replacement for the original RTL D2007 RTL / VCL, although the D2007 uses FastMM RTL memory management, faster and better than the D7 RTL, but carefully chosen to use, if the replacement RTL, all from the base of the VCL began to re-build, and some No source file may be unable to compiled and used, the use of the process of possible instability. Replacement after the installation of third-party Components, please do not use the built-in tools, or use the command line to compile, open and compile to install dpk from the IDE menus. Not all users recommended to replace,
Only recommended for the component of the Delphi compile & installed very skilled and all installed component have the sources. If you just want Delphi7 support XP / Vista API and the new properties, select the "Replace Windows's pas(Supports New Vista API & Attribute) only (Maximum compatibility)" Instead of "Replace with Delphi2007's RTL / VCL" to ensure maximum compatibility.

Quorn Chicken style pieces with curry and rice

1 Pack of frozen Quorn Chicken style pieces
100 Gr of McDowell curry powder
300 gr of long grain rice (or any rice)

Boil the rice in salted water.
While the rice is boiling cook the quorn with a bit of oil,onion and parsley until golden brown and take it aside in a plate.
In the same pan were you prepared the quorn add 500 ml of water, gradually add the curry powder and bring to boil.
When the sauce reach a nice density add again the quorn pieces and cook for 5/10 minutes, after that add the boiled rice and mix.

Remotely Restart a computer prompting for its name

Peperonata with soya chunks

Ingredients
8/10 Peppers
2 Aubergines
4 Courgette
2/3 Onions
4/5 Tomatoes
2 Vegetable stock cubes
100 gr of soya chunks

Peperonata is one of the easiest and helthy dishes anybody can cook: it can be eaten cold during summer or hot in those bluesy winter days.
You will need a big pot for this because of the amount of vegetables that we are going to use.
Cook the soya chunks in the pot as described here
Cut the peppers,onions,aubergines,tomatoes and courgette in big chunks and add them to the pot with the stock cube left.



Cover the pot and cook on low flame for about 1 hour or until the vegetables get soft

Soya escallops

Ingredients
1 Pack of soya cutlets (I find these in most Polish shop, the one I used they are sold in tesco in the polish corner)


1 Glass of strong red wine (The ideal would be marsala but in this case I used some porto)

Flour and butter.

Cook the cutlets as explained in this post

Once they are cold coat them with flour.


Fry a nice chunk of butter and add the cutlets, turn them when they get golden.
Add the wine and let it evaporate until you get a nice caramelized sauce on your cutlets.

Cooking dried soya

There are 3 types of soya I use to cook my recipes:

Cutlets


Mince



The biggest problem with these products is that they are tasteless, and the biggest mistake, when preparing them, is to boil the soya in hot water: if you do that it will be like eating a sponge no matter if you dry it or squeeze to drain the water.

This is the way I usually cook soya:

Fry in a pan some chopped onion, your favorite spices (bay leaf,parsley,paprika,italian herbs) and a vegetable stock cube. While it's cooking add the soya and keep mixing: at this stage the soya will absorb your tasty mixture.
You will notice that the pan gets dry: add a glass of white wine and let it evaporate. The wine absorbed by the cutlets will evaporate leaving a nice flavour to your dish; when the pan is dry again add hot water and let the soya absorb it: repeat until the soya is soft enough to be eaten.
